- Divorces (including same-sex divorces) with issues of child custody, child support, alimony, valuation of assets, business valuations and division of assets;
- Paternity cases with issues of child custody and child support;
- Removal of minor children;
- Modifications of Family Court Judgments dealing with child custody, child support, alimony, and other modifiable issues; and
- Negotiating and drafting separation agreements and prenuptial/postnuptial agreements.
Attorney Auckly-Barbuto believes that it is often best for parties to try and reach a solution collaboratively, in order to maintain a level of peace for the families going forward; however, there are times when litigation is necessary. Attorney Auckly-Barbuto has the experience and ability to bring a client's case through final resolution whether that is a settlement or trial. Attorney Auckly-Barbuto is a zealous advocate for her clients both in and out of the Courtroom.
Attorney Auckly-Barbuto is a strong believer in the Probate Court's ARC (Attorney's Representing Children) program. She understands that too often children are denied the voice they need in the Family Court process. This led to Attorney Auckly-Barbuto being trained as an ARC Attorney and she is on the list to take ARC cases in Plymouth County and Norfolk County. Attorney Auckly-Barbuto was a Panel Attorney with the Volunteer Lawyer's Project for several years and represented clients in cases involving divorce, guardianship, wills/estates, and employment discrimination. She recently received the "First Justices Award for Pro Bono Publico Excellence."
Attorney Auckly-Barbuto moved to Massachusetts in 1999 from Seattle, WA. She worked for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for many years in administration and operations while attending Eastern Nazarene College, where she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. She then went on to work for Donovan Hatem LLP as a Law Clerk while attending New England Law-Boston. She obtained her Juris Doctorate in 2010. Attorney Auckly-Barbuto worked for Haufler Associates for five years as a Litigation Family Law Attorney, and it is through the mentorship she received from the late R. Christian Haufler, Jr. that she learned how to be a strong advocate for her clients while practicing with honor, integrity, and compassion.
Attorney Auckly-Barbuto is thrilled to bring her skills and experience to Grossman & Associates, LTD., where she looks forward to continuing to zealously advocate for her clients.
